OK, to pick up the story, Christy and I wantered around for a long time, just enjoying the views, searching for fossils. There's a lot of fossils in what used to be the Strip Pit. All those slate rocks hold impressions of all sorts of prehistoric bugs, plants and what looks like a snake, but Grandaddy said it was a prehistoric pine tree branch. Who knows? It looked like a scaly ol' snake to me. Anyway, we carried our treasures as far as we could (we told each other they were for the kids, but somehow, deep down, I think we were just having fun) and then left them on a big boulder and said we'd come back for them later. We never did and the reason will be known to you soon.
Oops, hubbie's home...gotta go finish the spaghetti.
You should go get them Easter weekend.
