Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox for winning the World Series last night. Fireworks were going off all over the place again within minutes of the win.
It was inevitable.
Chicagoans are pretty much the same as us Alabamians when it comes to sports. For football, it's jus Da Bears! But baseball, that's another story. You are either for the Cubs or the Sox. Kinda sounds like SEC rivalries, huh? Especially Alabama/Auburn.
There are plenty of Cubs fans who genuinely wish the Sox well and congratulate them on their win, but then there are the diehard Cubs fans that can't stand anything about the Sox and hate that they even made it to the World Series, much less won it.
My husband and his family are Cubs fans, but they have been watching the World Series. They were proud that a Chicago team made it big. My kids are even wearing black and white today in honor of the Sox's win - the whole school is (except the ones whose moms or dads hate the Sox and made them wear regular clothes, that is).
Anyway, I digress...
Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox. May your team reign proud and your socks stay white!
