Dang is it cold! Weatherbug says it's 0 degrees out right now. No telling what the wind chill is. God help the homeless right now. Hope they are all warm in a shelter.
Speaking of... the other day I saw a man at Wendy's when my son and I stopped for lunch. He looked down on his luck and was drinking a coffee. The whole time I was there, he just sat and stared down at the table. Finally, as we were leaving, I felt like I had to do something. I bought a cup of chili and offered it to him. He said he didn't want it, but I saw that he was crying. I just sat it down and told him God Bless. I hope it helped.
Anyway, today is pretty blah. My son is home with a high fever today. Got up to 103.2 at one point. Had to wipe him down with a cold washcloth. He's pretty miserable, so I made him a doctor's appointment for this afternoon. I hope the youngest doesn't come down with it. Strep is always a possibility around here.
If Spring doesn't come soon, I am going to freeze my patootie off!
Congratulations to the Colts. They played a great game yesterday and deserved to win. The Bears just weren't on their game. I'm OK with it though. The fact they made it to the Super Bowl is an honor in itself and I am proud to say I am a Bears fan! (finally, after what...13 years that I've been here?) It's taken me a while to warm up to Chicago sports, but I am finally getting into it.
It's not the same as Alabama football though. Not by a long shot. ;)
