Or does it?
True story. When I was a child, probably eight or nine years old, my grandparent's farm house was struck by lightning. It's an old house, over 140 years old. My grandfather's grandfather owned it originally and it is still in the family.
The day in question began like any other summer day; storms forecasted later in the afternoon, hot, humid and buggy. My grandmother was working in her kitchen when she heard an explosion. She thought the house had blown up. Turns out that lightning had struck the roof, bounced from nail to nail in the shingles and entered the house through a wall. It basically blew up the room and set the bed on fire. Nanny put it out easily, but the room was in shambles. For some weird reason, the room was intact, but the window was busted.
Fast forward a few more years. Same thing happens. Nanny had just been in that very room and had walked into the livingroom when lightning struck again! Same thing, ran from nail to nail and entered through the wall. This time it busted the mirror on the antique dresser, dust everywhere, set the bed on fire...again. Glass had shot all the way across the room next to the bedroom and into a third room. Nanny was lucky she wasn't in the line of fire.
I remember how everything looked. Dust was everywhere and coated everything. It looked like it had been bombed, except the walls were intact. Weird.
Grandaddy had the roof redone, I believe. I don't remember exactly, but lightning hasn't struck their house like that since.

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
