I had an eye-doctor appointment last night since it has been two years since I had been and I was in the mood for a change.
However, I was asked if I was willing to go "smaller" on my frames.
Hello?
The ones I got two years ago were pretty danged small to me! I can't imagine smaller eyeglasses! If they keep getting smaller, there won't be enough to cover your eyes. Jeez!
I asked about contacts. I have never had them and wanted to see how I would like them, so they let me put a pair in. I was a natural. LOL Had only a couple of misses when it was time to take them out, but I was told I did very well for a first-timer.
However...
the prescription gave me great distance sight, but made my close-up sight blurry. Uh uh!
I ended up getting a new set of frames, the kind with the magnetic clip-on sunglasses. Big disappointment! I was really hoping the contacts would work out.
I had plans of buying colored contacts: deep green, bright blue, etc... It would have been a new me. LOL
Now, I have a new pair of glasses being made. I made up for my disappointment though. I added on a good $100 worth of Teflon coatings, anti-scratch coatings, you name it. Gotta feel good somehow (shrugging).

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
