Happy New Year folks! Today we are spending our day at a Bears party watching Chicago play, well..whomever they are playing...and eating the traditional football snacks.

But first I want to mention this...today is the one year anniversary of my and my sister's adventure getting lost in the Alabama woods. Yep, where has time flown? A year ago today, we went walking in the woods and got caught after dark. Plus, the usual trails had been overgrown for years, so we had to make our way back the best we could. The reason this story is so important? It was the inspiration to me to start writing again and that is why I started this blog. So, getting lost in the woods at night should be something I would want to forget, but not in this case. For me, it is something to celebrate as I had accomplished much since that day one year ago.
