In my perfect world, snow falls softly as The Christmas tree stands watch over the household. String-lights flicker – peppermint reds, icy Blues, wintergreen greens, silvery tinsel Sways in the slightest breeze, each comes alive And waves. Tiny elves, fairies, and reindeer Hang from each bough, chatting among themselves, Talking about the day to come. Presents, Hidden in a multitude of boxes, Sit gaily-wrapped in silver and gold, each Eager to be found. Outside, in the world, Christmas cheer overcomes worldly hatreds, Biases, racial judgments, terrorists, Rapes, killings, and poverty. Love conquers all, And Santa leaves no coal in the Christmas stockings.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night - from our house to yours!

A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
