Well, I just finished my first year in the school PTL and have come through with flying colors. I remember my first meeting this time last year when I was recruited. I didn't know squat! I still don't know squat but I know how to hide it well. :)
Seriously, I learned a lot from being in the PTL. We handle many school events and almost all of the fundraisers and I made new friends to boot.
This year I was elected PTL Secretary. Well, actually I said I'd do it and everyone said OK. LOL I'll be Chair for Marketday next year and have to learn what all THAT entails.
Basically, I'll be busy again....which is fine. The kids like it that I'm able to come to school a lot. I know that won't last when they get older, but for now, to them, Mommy seems like a popular person in the schoolyard.
We had our last meeting tonight. Afterward, we had our end-of-the-year party with pizza and homemade goodies. I made a pan of banana pudding and brought in some sweet tea. Some of the ladies had wondered how it tasted, so I decided to introduce them to the joys of sweet tea. It didn't go over that well. :P But that's OK. Sweet tea is an aquired taste. You have to either REALLY like it, or you have to be born to it.
Anyway, it's almost midnight and I have to be back at school tomorrow morning for the Kindergarten graduation reception. I'm co-chair and have to be there to serve food.
Night!

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
