I have liked the B-52's since my first year in college thanks to my freshman roomate, Susan. We would listen to her cassette and bee-bop around to Rock Lobster, Private Idaho, Quiche Lorraine, etc... in our dormroom and the music made our homework, chores, etc. go by so much faster it seemed.

It still does today.

The B-52's are still going strong. When I bought my first car (a 1993 Dodge Daytona), the first thing I put in the tape deck was Good Stuff.

When I want energy, I listen to Private Idaho or Girl from Ipanema Goes to Greenland.

I've seen them in concert three times since the late 80's, once in Florida and twice in Chicago and it just isn't enough.

Now I hear they have a new CD coming out in February and you bet I am planning on getting it. After all, good, freakishly fun music is always good to have!

Rock on, Kate, Cindy, Fred and Keith! Y'all come on back to Chicago someday soon!
