I have discovered something about myself: I can not juggle too many things at a time or I get very overwhelmed.
And who knows...maybe all of us are like that to a point.
But i feel my brain turning to mush just thinking about multi-tasking, or blogging while worrying about selling my jewelry, or Avon, or taking care of the kids, finding a day job, etc...In fact, my brain is melting in my skull as we speak.
Oozing out my ears...
(shaking head)
I have missed writing. It's that simple.
And I have finally discovered my muse. It's not my children, God knows I love them. It's not my husband. It's not my cat.
I can only get excited about writing when I am thinking of Alabama. About the forests, the state parks, the pine trees, the dogwoods, and yes...even the fireants.
It's not my lot in life to be able to actually be in Alabama at this time. So, as long as I can remember the smells, textures, and sights of my home state, I'll manage just fine.
At least, I hope I will. ;)

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
