I've Been Smacked
Bitter Bitch over at I Talk Too Much reviewed my blog recently and I wasn't too surprised with what she said.
I mean, after all, I submitted on a whim, just to see what those fine ladies would say about Southern Gal Goes North, because Heaven knows my blog is plain and predictable. I write with a southern voice, create poetry and some humorous stories, if I do say so.
Totally opposite from what those ladies like in a blog.
Well, I wasn't disappointed. And BB had some good points. It does take a while to scroll down my sidebar. I have debated "cleaning up" my sidebar for sometime, so I guess this is the kick in the rear that I needed.
It seems as if I am a tad bit into myself as well with all the links to my writings. That's OK. I like being into myself. LOL Who doesn't? Plus, I have to get my writings out there somehow. Don't think I'll be good enough to be published in print for a while yet. Gotta do what I can.
She said I did have some good writing and that's why she gave me "One Smack". The poetry - well, she wasn't too impressed. That's OK too. I can handle that. In fact, I am surprised I got a smack at all being the tame blogger that I am. ;)
All in all, it was fun and I got a chuckle out of reading all the comments later. Like they say over there, don't submit unless you are able to handle the heat. They don't hold back, I can tell ya'.

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
