This week's renter is D.C. Roe over at his writer's blog, Rough Draft. I have a fondness for writers. I wonder why. ;)
Anyway, go over and read some of his stuff. Very cool dude here, folks. OK, now I am sounding my age with this 80's crap. Gnarly, dude! Grody to the max!
Now I am going to go listen to the Go-Go's. Oh speaking of the Go-Go's...they are coming to Chicago in June, but guess who can't go see them?
Right. Me.
Because we will be driving to Alabama that day. Dang! At least I got to see them once, over five years ago at a rockin' 80's concert summer. Three nights, multiple bands including Duran Duran, Missing Persons, A Flock of Seagulls, the B-52's, the Go-Go's, the Cure, the Pretenders....
George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic is supposed to be here soon as well, but I guess I am just unlucky in that I can't see them either. Last concert I went to was the B-52's at the House of Blues in Chicago a couple of years ago. Kick butt concert though. I was right up at the stage in front of Kate, my singing idol.

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
