We had a small bout with Springtime here last weekend, but now it's back to the same old winter weather. Sigh. My feet stay cold and my nose is stuffy, but I now have something to look forward to: my summer vacation.

Yep! I made reservations for our summer vacation and everything is all set for a week in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in July.

I am stoked!

After many hours of research, we finally decided on a small campground in Cosby, TN called, appropriately, Smoky Bear Campground. We are renting one of their RV's for the week and my parents are tenting in the lot next to us.

We're going camping!! The kids have camped a couple of times in Alabama, but this will be their's and my husband's first time in the Smokies. I have been there numerous times since my childhood and have always loved it, so I have lots of activities planned.

What I am still looking for is this - a good, old-fashioned swimming hole. I love swimming in mountain streams and rivers and am hoping to find a good spot for some wading or swimming in the Gatlingburg/Crosby area.

Anyone familiar with that area and have suggestions?
