I have to say my blessings are many when I think about them. Some days I am so down and depressed and homesick for the south, but then I remember my good life here with my family, the friends I have made, my home...
But today, in the midst of the drought in the south, up here we have rain. Lots of rain. I only wish it would rain where it needs it most.
I am thankful for rain. It may make the sky dreary, but it gives life.
Thank you God for the rain.
On a lighter note: my youngest son said to me today, "Mom, I prayed for rain in church. I asked God to let it rain in the south. But Mom? I think he got confused."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, I asked him to let it rain down south, but since we live south of Chicago, I think he let it rain here by mistake. Did he think I meant south of Chicago?"
