Finished putting up the Christmas tree today while the hubby and kids were gone. Solitude can be wonderful at times. Today was one of those times for me.
I work best in quiet surroundings. It didn't used to be that way. When housework demanded to be done, I would listen to my favorite music and jam while I worked. When I was driving, I'd crank up the volume while I roamed the highways.
Nowdays, I crave solitude and quiet. I must be getting old.

A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
