Oh boy, did I have a good time. Joe's Seafood was very ritzy place. Quite out of my league. Dave saw some NFL sports announcers having dinner there and he was pretty excited. Lots of fur coats everywhere, and waiters in tuxes. I enjoyed myself immensely.
Even though I don't like seafood, I was brave and tried a crab cake as an appetizer. I even tried some sushi. At least I think it was sushi. Do Spring Rolls have fish in them? Tasted like veggies to me.
The restaurant was opulent. We had a reserved room in the back with waiters carrying trays of appetizer and wine. The spinach-stuffed mushrooms were awesome as was the lobster chunks in a sweet and sour sauce. It was my first taste of lobster. Yummm. I had filet mignon, green beans almondine, mashed potatoes, Caesar salad and banana cream pie with a fosters sauce. Oh, and wine. Too much wine. I have my first hangover in I don't know how many years. I don't think I even had two full cups, but I couldn't keep track. The waiters kept on refilling it behind my back. And in front of me as well. LOL
Dave won the centerpiece at our table. It has roses and some tropical flowers that I can't remember the names of. The company also gave each person a booklet of gifts. We choose one for ourselves and mail the order in. I thought that was a very nice touch.
All in all, we made some new friends and had a very nice time. Can't wait 'til next year.

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
