They offer full RV hookups, some tents sites, and some cabins and travel trailers for rent. We rented a small travel trailer that stays on-site for them to rent out. It was fully stocked with everything except groceries. And the price? Very reasonable.
They have family dances, 4th of July barbecue contests (of which my father won this year), chili cookoffs, and more... They do go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.
And the name of this place? Smoky Bear Campground in Cosby, Tennessee.
It is only a few miles away from Gatlinburg and can be easily reached via I-40 instead of having to go through the heavily-traveled Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg roads.
So, if you find yourself heading to the Great Smoky Mountains and have an RV or just love to camp, try this campground. It's a nice, peaceful place with friendly faces and, best of all, right across the street from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
