I know, I know, I am supposed to be packing and whatnot, but I had to let y'all know about Sheila and her blog, Alabama Kitchen Sink. She said something in one of her posts that resonated with me.

"The South with all of her problems just gets into your blood. Maybe it’s the red dirt, the pines, the kudzu that overtakes a rambled down barn and gives it a green blanket of prettiness. Or washing machines and sofas on the front porch. I just don’t know..."

I know what she means. I don't miss the south because I am just pro-south or anything. I don't hate the north or the people who live here...I just miss the way of life in the south. The way country folks wave at you from their trucks or tractors as they pass you on the road, the "bless your hearts" and outlandish sayings that southerners come up with, the country cookin' like homemade buttermilk biscuits and grits and sweet tea....Ahhhh, the sweet tea!

Anyway, Sheila said it true. Y'all go over and see what she has to say.
