Oh, today is supposed to be gorgeous and be in the high 70's. No more bitchin' about the cold Chicago weather for me!
I have been thinking about taking the kids to the city one weekend soon. We have annual passes to the Field Museum of Natural History and they have an awesome dinosaur exhibit that the kids just love. They have a members night coming up soon where all members are invited "backstage" to see how they set up exhibits and where they store museum pieces. It's downright interesting.
I've noticed more people out walking the dogs or just themselves lately. The Brookfield Zoo is usually packed the first nice weekend of Spring, so we didn't even try to go there this weekend. Been there, done that, and regretted it.
My cat, Fluffy the Wonder Fart, has loved having the windows open. He just sits there on the window sill, nose twitching, tail flapping back and forth in a frantic manner, eyes widening whenever a bird lands on the bird feeder outside his window. It's funny.
Speaking of bird feeders, Cracker Barrel has a few cute ones that I need to go and buy. They also have a birdhouse that I just adore! It's a little Airstream camper.
On my next trip to Rock City in Chattanooga, I plan on purchasing another Rock City barn birdhouse. Hey, it's a hobby.
Well, gotta get busy around the house. Lots to do and no time to do it. Y'all have a good day!
And don't forget to visit my renter this week, Lonnie over at Onemanbandwidth: an American Professor in China. He's got a great blog, y'all and deserves to be read as much as it is.

"I believe that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you can not baptize cats." - Larry the Cable Guy
A Tennessee man and an Alabama man were both fighting in a war and were captured by the enemy.
"Before we put you to death," said the enemy, "do you have any last requests?"
"Yes," said the Alabaman. "Could you play 'Yeah, Alabama' before you shoot me?"
"Sure," said the enemy. "How about you, Tennessean?"
"Could you shoot me before you play 'Yeah, Alabama?'"
