Here is a great recipe from an old friend in Alabama. Lately, I have been having a chocolate craving...and I mean a nasty craving...so I might be making this myself later on. It's called 7-Layer Cookies and it is swweeeett!
6 tbsp butter
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup coconut
6 oz. chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Melt butter in 8x8 pan. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter. Spread all of the following over the butter-crumb mixture making layers starting with coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips. Spread condensed milk over all of these layers. Spread nuts over condensed milk as the top layer. Bake at 350 for 30 min. until a golden brown. Set aside and cool before cutting into small squares. Makes 2 dozen 1.5 inch cookes.
